Freddie Roach: Manny Pacquiao will show something never seen before in the history – Boxing news
Freddie Roach, who is the trainer of eight-division world champion and the current World Boxing Organisation Welterweight World Champion (Super Champion), has claimed his man will show something never seen before in the history of boxing in his upcoming
fight with the Mexican Dinamita, Juan Manuel Marquez.
The Fighting Pride of Philippines, Pacquiao, is set to meet the current World Boxing Association Super, World Boxing Organisation and The Ring Lightweight World Champion, Marquez, in their highly-anticipated trilogy fight on November 12, 2011 at the MGM
Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada and Roach has stressed his man will surprise Marquez this time.
“We will surprise him and this will become a fantastic trilogy… something never before seen in the history of boxing,” Roach said.
“Manny did 14 rounds on the mitts – explosive,” Roach said. “[It is] the best I’ve ever seen him; [he] put on a show.”
The 51-year-old American trainer, Roach, who is also known as Master Roach, in the end commented on Marquez’s recent campaign in Philippines in which he wore a t-shirt saying that he was robbed in his previous two fights against Pacquiao. Roach stated Marquez
has insulted Pacquiao and he will be punished by his man on the fight night.
Roach added, “Manny doesn't dislike anyone in the world, but this guy slapped him in the face a little bit and payback's a b***h. He has that little extra spark right now because he wants that payback.”
Meanwhile, Marquez’s trainer, Ignacio ‘Nacho’ Beristain, reckons this time it is going to be his man who will emerge as a winner.
“Marquez has now developed new skills to pin down Pacquiao of his mistakes,” Beristain explained to the Long Beach Examiner recently.
Pacquiao versus Marquez 3 is one of the most eagerly awaited fights of this year because it will decide who the overall winner among these two warriors is.
However, let’s see if Pac-Man, who is currently rated as the number one pound-for-pound fighter in the world, can once again beat Marquez in their concluding fight, which will certainly have all the hallmarks of being an absolute classic.
