Freddie Roach claims people may see the best from Manny Pacquiao this time – Boxing news
Freddie Roach, who is the trainer of eight-division world champion and the current World Boxing Organisation Welterweight World Champion (Super Champion) Manny Pacquiao, reckons people will see the best version of his man this time after the Master Roach
declared his fighter 100 percent ready for his upcoming fight.
“He’s peaking right now,” said Roach to Top Rank. “He’s motivated and 100 percent ready for this fight.”
The current best pound-for-pound fighter in the world, Pacquiao, will take on the Mexican Dinamita, Juan Manuel Marquez, in their much-anticipated trilogy fight on November 12, 2011 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Roach thinks this time Pacquiao
will win in a convincing way.
The 51-year-old American trainer, Roach, who is one of the most well-known boxing trainers in the world, stated Pacquiao is extra motivated for this fight and he is showing it during his sparring sessions. Roach claimed Pacquiao broke the nose of a boxer
recently who has been a sparring partner to the undefeated American legend Floyd Mayweather, who is a five-division world champion and the current WBC World Welterweight Champion.
Roach added, “We also brought one kid in from Vegas, he had been with [Floyd] Mayweather in his camp for 30 days, he said ‘I’m ready’ [but] Manny broke his nose in the second round. He lasted one day. I hate to say this is the best Manny Pacquiao but y’know,
it may be. He’s extra-motivated.”
Meanwhile, Pacquiao, who carries a record of winning 53 of his 58 professional fights (2 Draws), with 38 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout, also shared his thoughts with the media.
Pacquiao remarked, “I’m 97 percent ready. I’m not thinking about the knockout but if it comes then it’s a bonus for our hard work.”
The current World Boxing Association Super, World Boxing Organisation and The Ring Lightweight World Champion, Marquez, has desperately waited three years to avenge his defeat against the Filipino star.
Therefore, it will certainly be not an easy night for Pacquiao. However, let’s see if Pac-Man can once again emerge as the winner.
