Freddie Roach reckons anyone from Manny Pacquiao, Amir Khan can beat Floyd Mayweather – Boxing news
The trainer Freddie Roach has claimed he can beat the undefeated American legend, Floyd Mayweather with either Manny Pacquiao, an eight-division world champion, or Amir Khan, who is the unified International Boxing Federation’s and World Boxing Association’s
World Light Welterweight champion.
The five-division world champion and the World Boxing Council Emeritus World Super Welterweight Champion, Floyd Mayweather, has never been defeated by anyone, as he has won all of his 41 professional fights, with 25 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout.
Therefore, he is considered as one of the best American boxers currently present.
The 51-year-old Master Roach, who is one of the most well-known boxing trainers in the world, also admitted in front of the media that Mayweather is one of the most difficult boxers to beat out there but on the same note the American trainer stated he has
a game plan for the Mayweather fight.
Roach remarked, “Not so much know how, but I think I have a good plan to beating Mayweather. That being said he is definitely the most difficult fighter to beat in the world and I look forward to the challenge of fighting him.”
Roach in the meanwhile commented about the eagerly awaited bout between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, which has not been scheduled as of yet.
Roach stated after all that has been done so far from Mayweather’s corner, has made people dead beat. Roach however coming back to business insisted he really does not care whether Pacquiao faces Mayweather or Khan, as the trainer believes any of these two
warriors can shrug off Mayweather.
Roach said, “The Pacquiao and Mayweather fight is still the biggest fight out there, let’s face it, but the thing is people are getting tired of all the bulls**t. In terms of excitement about the fight it’s already peaked and gone away. But I think I’ve
got two guys that I can beat Mayweather with and whoever meets him first I don’t care.”
