Freddie Roach says Timothy Bradley is a no match for Manny Pacquiao – Boxing news
Freddie Roach, who is the trainer of eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao and the currently unified World Boxing Association Super and International Boxing Federation Light Welterweight Champion Amir Khan, reckons Timothy Bradley does not stand a
chance against his man.
Roach, who is more commonly known as Master Roach, in his exclusive interview stated Bradley was stripped off his WBO title for refusing to fight Khan. Therefore, he said he will not be able bring the courage to fight with the Pac-Man. Roach also believes
Bradley is not a well-known fighter all over the world.
“Timothy Bradley who the [expletive] is he?” Roach asked rhetorically when speaking on the Leave It In The Ring radio show recently. “Nobody even knows him, come on, give me a break. He refused to fight Amir.”
Roach remarked, “Who knows Timothy Bradley apart from California? That’s not a match. He’s been calling Amir out for over two years and we get ready to fight the fight and all of a sudden he won’t sign the contract.”
Pacquiao is set to take on Juan Manuel Marquez in their much-anticipated trilogy fight on November 12, 2011 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada and Bradley will fight on their undercard with Joel Casamayor. Therefore, a lot out there are expecting
that maybe Bradley is going to be Pacquiao’s next opponent.
In the end, Roach claimed Bradley just wants a big payday by signing a contract with Pacquiao but on the same note Roach said he does not have a chance at all against Pacquiao, who is the current World Boxing Organisation Welterweight World Champion (Super
Champion).
“He just wants to go after the money and get in and get out. He’s no match-up to Manny Pacquiao in my opinion,” Roach said.
The 28-year-old Bradley, who is the current World Boxing Organisation World Light Welterweight Champion, holds a record of winning 27 of his 28 professional fights (1 no contest), with 11 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout.
Moreover, he is rated as the number eight pound-for-pound boxer in the world. Thus, his fight with Pacquiao should bring some crowd to the arena.
However, all that is left to see is whether Pacquiao will fight Bradley or not.
