Freddie Roach tells Floyd Mayweather’s camp: Manny Pacquiao is not a ‘little fella’ – Boxing news
Freddie Roach, who is the trainer of eight-division world champion and the current World Boxing Organization World Welterweight Champion (Super Champion), Manny Pacquiao is not happy with Mayweather’s camp for calling his man a ‘little fella’ as he believes
Pacquiao should have been called by this name.
Mayweather’s camp recently revealed that the undefeated American legend, who holds a perfect record of winning all of his 42 professional fights, with 26 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout, wants to fight on May 5, 2012 and this time he wants to
set up a dream-fight with the ‘little fella’.
“You can call Manny by his name, but don't call him the little man,” Roach told Examiner.com.
The Master Roach, who is one of the most well-known boxing trainers in the world, told the media Mayweather always make statements on his own.
Roach stated Mayweather, who is a five-division world champion and the current World Boxing Council World Welterweight Champion, in the past has always announced his opponents by himself but this time Ellerbe has come in front of the media. Therefore, Roach
thinks Mayweather is just making himself a part of the headlines and there is nothing serious about the fight.
“They tell me Mayweather's his own boss, and he calls all the shots, but why is Leonard Ellerbe making an announcement that he wants to fight us. Leonard Ellerbe is just one of his flunkies, let's face it, come on,” Roach said.
“We don't know who you're referring to, because Manny will be a lot bigger than you when he's standing over you in the ring,” said Roach.
The 32-year-old Pacquiao, who has won 54 of his 59 professional fights (2 draws), with 38 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout,  is currently rated as the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world but since this spot was previously held by Mayweather
junior, Manny is considered as the biggest welterweight rival of the American superstar. Thus a clash between them is considered as one of biggest clashes. Let’s hope somehow a fight between these two gets real.
