The Bastia coach feels that I Turchini were the better side of the two on the pitch and deserved more than just a point after playing so well on Friday
I Lioni di Furiani can consider themselves unlucky as they were denied a chance to collect maximum points away from home.
A goalless draw against European hopefuls, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Toulouse-FC-c40751, is a good result for Frederic Hantz’s side, considering the fact that the match was being played at Stadium Municipal, but the coach feels that they were really unlucky and Bastia could have clinched
all three points on the road.
While talking to reporters, Frederic Hantz stated that a point away from home and against a team like Toulouse, is a great result in many ways but they way Bastia played on the pitch, they deserved more than just a point.
The coach said that I Turchini performed really well on the pitch and they deserved to win the game, but this is football and there is no use complaining about it now.
"I'm very happy with the way we played, and a little disappointed with the result because we undoubtedly deserved to win it.”
Hantz added that Bastia have been playing really well lately and for the first time this season, they have kept back-to-back clean sheets.
“We followed on from what we did at Lille in our last game. It's the first time this season that we've kept back-to-back clean sheets.”
Talking about Friday’s game, the 46-year-old tactician stated that his side gave Toulouse all kinds of trouble on the pitch and it’s a shame that there wasn’t any goal on Friday.
“We were able to adapt to the problems Toulouse gave us. It's a shame that we couldn't score to give everyone a reward for their efforts.”
The Frenchman added that December is an important month for Bastia and the need is to continue playing like this in order to achieve club’s objectives this season.
“We know that December is going to be tricky, and we have to keep this momentum for our next three games in the hope of winning one."
