Frederik Nielsen trounces Boris Nicola Bakalov 6-4, 6-2
Ranked 353rd in the South African ATP World Tour Rankings, Frederik Nielsen, tumbled over the Bulgarian professional, Boris Nicola Bakalov straight sets at the Tiburon Challenger 2012 held at the hard courts of California,
United States. He nudged up his 6-4, 6-2 triumph against the veteran players with flawless action plan.
The 31-year-old Bulgarian native made an effective entry in the opening set. Nevertheless, Nielsen proved to very aggressive and levelled the scores to 2-all in the fourth and 3-all in the fifth game respectively. Bakalov lagged
behind because he spilled a few errors, which reduced his intensity in the later part of the set. The Danish contender reeled off the last four games without facing any hindrance and secured the initial set with a 6-4 score lead.
The right-hander Bulgarian senior commenced a poor start of the second start and his rival Dutch participant quickly stamped the initial two games without any resistance. Nielson secured his lead by breaking his rival’s serve in
the fifth set and ultimately closed the match with a 6-2 win.
Both players fired three aces on each other but the 29-year-old Danish professional had a relatively better initial serve precision with 54 percent and his rival had just 45 percent. He converted 25 of 37 points, capitalizing on
three of six break points presented onto him. 
 
Ryan Thacher thrashed Collin Altamirano 6-1, 6-2
Local challenger, Ryan Thacher, gave his junior Collin Altamirano a remarkable straight sets defeat on Saturday. The duo encountered each other for the first time and Thacher consolidated his 6-1, 6-2 win in nearly one hour.
The 23-year-old displayed a remarkable start of the opener and successively bagged away the first three without facing any hindrance to stamp a 3-0 lead. Altamirano completely crippled down, when he failed to hit a return after
a he faced a blistering speedy backhand from his senior. Thacher completely took over the stage when he cashed his challenger’s serve in the sixth game, terminating the set with a bread stick.
The 16-year-old, Altamirano, was unable to hold his serve the entire time in the second set and was unable to sneak even a single break point. Thacher marked his break through after dissolving his rival’s serve the second time.
He swiftly journeyed to the end, holding his serve the entire time. This majorly helped him to retain in the lead and stamped the match with a 6-2 win.
