Fredrik Kessiakoff wins the seventh stage of the Tour de Suisse 2012

Fredrik Kessiakoff of Team Astana opened his 2012 winning account after showing tremendous legs during the 34.3 kilometre Individual Time Trial stage 7 of the Tour de Suisse 2012.
The 32-year-old crossed the finish line in a quickest time of 46 minute and 36 seconds and overcame the mighty Fabian Cancellara of Team RadioShack-Nissan.
Fredrik was having a dry season and was desperately in need of a stage win which came at a perfect time.
The Swedish professional cyclist started his professional pursuit with Team Crescent in 2000 and spent a period of two years with the side.
He also represented Team Siemens-Cannondale (2004), Team Cannondale-Vredestein (2007), Team Full Dynamix-IT (2008), Team Fuji-Servetto (2009), Team Garmin-Transitions (2010) and penned a deal with Team Astana in 2011.
Kessiakoff is continuing his second consecutive season with the side and the cyclist is looking good to help the team in the remaining part of the season.
Cancellara is marking his return to professional cycling at the Tour De Suisse and the cyclist has shown some splendid legs during the Swiss race.
His team-mate, Maxime Monfort achieved the third podium spot, finishing further 18 seconds behind Fabian.
Jeremy Roy of Team FDJ-Big Mat, Robert Gesink of Team Rabobank and Tanel Kangert of Team Astana secured the fourth, the fifth and the sixth positions.
Fredrik Carl Wilhelm Kessiakoff of Team Astana achieved the top spot at the point’s category of the race with 15 points to his credit.
Fabian Cancellara and Maxime Monfort of Team RadioShack-Nissan achieved the second and the third positions in the respective order.
Cancellara, Martin Elmiger, Mathias Frank, Martin Kohler and Rubens Bertogliati were the top five Swiss riders on the day.
Rui Alberto Faria Da Costa of Team Movistar is leading the stage 7 classifications with a margin of 50 seconds over Roman Kreuziger of Team Astana.
Robert Gesink of Team Rabobank, Alejandro Valverde Belmonte of Team Movistar and Frank Schleck of Team RadioShack-Nissan is holding the third, the fourth and the fifth positions in the respective order.
Peter Sagan of Team Liquigas-Cannondale is leading the point’s classifications with a total number of 102 points to his credit.
Michael Albasini of Team Orica GreenEdge, Ben Swift of Team Sky is leading, Jose Joaquin of Team Movistar and Allan Davis of Team Orica GreenEdge holds the next four positions with 36, 36, 27 and 27 points respectively.
