  1. Well, Ottawa got Jarkko Ruutu, but a few of our old players were unrestricted free agents and have already left. I think we're gonna do good this year.

  2. Did ok on signing new players but the Leafs aren't doing too hot on re-signing their captain.

We'll do great !!! (CENSORED) at the draft.

  3. RANGERS - SOLID SO FAR BUT VERY UPSET AT GLEN SATHER FOR LETTING JAGR AND AVERY GO!!

  4. Team: Buffalo

good because we didn't over pay anyone

o but then we made some BAD trades to loose one of our young up coming forwards. o and then we got an antique d-man

  5. Favorite team: Pittsburgh Penguins.

Well, at first I was pissed. We lost Malone, Roberts, Hossa, Conklin, Hall, Laraque, Ruutu.....anyone else? Phew.

But does no one realize what Shero has done here? He kept the "core" together when everyone said it was impossible.

Impossible you say? Well........Fleury is locked down for 7 years now, Malkin for 5, and Orpik for 6.

So now that is Crosby, Fleury, Whitney, Malkin, and Orpik who are all locked down. Not to mention Shero is currently working on locking Staal down.

When Shero resigned Mark Eaton, I'll admit I was breathing fire, cursing like I know many people were, but Eaton is a good defensman (if he can stay healthy) and defense wins the cup....I'm not going to lie.

Resigning Dupuis was a very smart move. Yeah Dupuis may not be a big name guy, but he's great to have on the PK and he'll be a helluva 3rd liner next year.

Now Satan and Fedotenko.........Now Satan I've been joking around about since early Feb. when I realized Satan would be a UFA this summer. I've always liked him as a player and kept jokingly saying "Oh Shero needs to sign him!" Not really meaning anything.......well he signed him, and unlike a lot of people....I LIKE IT. Satan didn't do so hot last year, but did anyone else see his team? He was on the Islanders for Christ sake. Of course he wasn't outstanding. I can't wait to see him on the wing beside Sidney!

    And Fedotenko I'm happy with.

Now yes it does hurt losing Hossa and what not, but what I've been saying since it happened "s***w them". Hossa didn't want to be here? Fine let him leave. I'd much rather have Miroslav who wants to be here than Marian who would rather jump off the wagon. Good ridance Hossa, and I hope you had the time of your life.

Oh! And reports say we've signed some Finnish guy, so I'm happy with that. I've looked at his stats and he's not all that bad. Besides.......playing with Malkin or Crosby just makes you better.

  6. caps well im pissed at huet becuase he said if he got a good offer from the caps he wouldnt go into free agency waters and the caps gave him exactly what he wanted  and then he just blew them off wtf?  I hope theodore can get the job done next season.  Not really sure about keith aucoin ill have to see what he does when the season starts.  I like the way the caps are goin on the re-signin with mike green and makin good progress with fedorov and laich.  The caps will definitely be contenders next year i could see them goin to the 2nd or 3rd round

  7. I like what the Rangers got but chances were definetly taken.  Zherdev is a hot head young player who could be a star or could sign in Russia next season.  He disliked Hitchcock and the Columbus organization but if Renney can pull the rains in on him he could score 40 goals consistently.  Naslund will be a nice replacement for Shanahan.  Redden was overpaid, but will be a decent QB for the powerplay and will have success in the Big Apple.  Thank god Malik is gone, even though Kalinin isn't supposed to be very strong.  Backman was very slow and was taking up a lot of cap, but I'm sad to see Tyutin go even though it was for Zherdev.  Roszival and Mara were decent re-signings.  Jagr and Straka will be missed but this is the new era of the Rangers and its time to move on.

  8. I'm from Boston so I'm stuck with the Bruins.

Though we seem to have some hope for a promising future, I am tired of this team and their penny pinching ways. We are in desperate need of offense. We signed Michael Ryder from our biggest rivals, the Canadians. And we will certainly benefit from the return of Patrice Bergeron who is back healthy again, but it is what it is. The Bruins continue to disappoint me with their approach to the offseason. For the most part, we usually wind up with mid level players and I would be surprised if we make it past the 2nd round of the playoffs next year.
