Free Cars! Only if Bears shutout Packers on Christmas – NFL News
On Christmas Day, Chicago Bears will face their biggest rivals, Green Bay Packers, at Lambeau Field in a must-win encounter.
With fans and players both gearing up for the mouth-watering clash, a Chicago car dealership is offering free cars if the Bears win.
But here is the catch!
Only those who purchase their vehicles by Friday will be eligible. They will get a refund only if the Bears keep Aaron Rodgers and Packers devastating offense from scoring.
Sawicki Motors who have a portfolio of cars ranging from Chevrolets, Buicks and Cadillac have offered the outrageous deal to fans.
However, fans have been slow on the uptake and with good reason. The Bears have lost their last four games and with their offense missing both stars quarterback Jay Cutler and running back Matt Forte, it will be a huge surprise
if the Bears outscore the Packers let alone stop them from scoring.
Defensively, the Bears also have not played much better. They have allowed a total of 84 points against them in the last four games and are 27th overall giving the opposition 254.4 passing yards on average.
"Bears fans mostly have been laughing about it because the likelihood (of a shutout) is not that great," Sales Manager Ron Matula told the Rockford Register Star. "None of the Packers fans have called me names or swore at me yet.
They have just been saying 'It's not going to happen.’”
With the Packers scoring an average of 34 points per game, chances are relatively slim that the Bears can stop Packers who have a Most Valued Player contender in Aaron Rodgers as their quarterback.
“We’re just looking for people who are out shopping, and if they are interested in Chevy, Buick or Cadillac, why not buy it here? At least there’s a chance — it may not be a big chance, but there’s a chance at the rebate.” Matula

A glint of hope for Bears is the fact that the Packers have lost their previous game19-14, which was their first defeat if the season, against Kansas City Chiefs last week.
The game is a must-win proposition for Chicago Bears who will lose an already slim chance of making to the postseason. Quarterback Caleb Hanie who started the last four games for Chicago will be on the bench for this encounter,
while veteran quarterback Josh McCown will replace him.
By announcing such an offer, the car dealership will certainly gain publicity, but defeating the Packers, that too without allowing them to score, will need a miraculous effort from the Bears.
