I have just been informed that I was the winner of a competion i entered.

I have won 'apparently ' a week in Spain curtsey of Club La Costa.U have to go to london to one of there seminars to collect my holiday.

I understand that CLC are timeshare sellers and the seminar is really hard sell.

But has any one actually been on the holiday?

It is worth the seminar and hard sell?

  1. PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL .If you decide to go 'for the freebie', that's OK but DON'T TAKE A CREDIT CARD.

The only time they shut up and let you go is when they know you don't have a Visa/ Mastercard etc

We were stuck with them for nearly 3 hours and my daughter 'fell' for the scam - it's cost her family a fortune in plane fares

You can do it MUCH cheaper on-line  - believe me

Check them out and the complaints - PLEASE !

  2. Yeah they get you there and then hard sell you a Time Share.

It is only hard sell if you are weak....

Personally I could do without the hassle.

When something sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

Go to Teletext.co.uk and book yourself something yourself without anyone trying to sell you property and dragging you to seminars in 90degrees of heat.

Edit. Well if you fancy a freebie to London and can stand the seminar BS. Do it. London is great ! It's where I come from... :)

  3. I had exactly the same thing 3 weeks ago. The hotel in central London and a meal at one of 2 restaurants. all you had to do was sit through an hour of them selling .then you could collect the holiday.

I asked around and the general opinion is your better off booking a holiday yourself and enjoying it rather than being pestered when your away in their hotels.
