Free Credit Report?

Question

I have been reading that you can get a free credit report once every 12 months. I think I have pretty good credit, but I have never gotten one and was curious to know what my score actually is. All the sites that are supposed to give you your report ask for a credit card. Isn't it supposed to be FREE???!!!

I saw this site: annualcreditreport.com

Is it reputable? Has anyone used it?

Yes- annualcreditreport.com is reputible.  I have used them in the past, in fact, I used them last night.  They take your info, and you get to choose which of the 3 credit bureaus you want to use.  Please note, though, that you can only use each one once every 12 months, so you can use one now, one in 4 months, the next in 4 months, and start all over again 4 months after that....

Dude, the government gives you a free credit report, you don't have to go through those scam sites.
