Question:

Free New Jersey Preschool for 3 year olds?

I only work part-time and my husband works full time but I feel like my son needs to be around more children since he is an only child. I was told by my doctor that preschool would be a good idea (his grandparents watch him while I work and they take him to library class once a week also when I am at work) but daycare and preschool is very costly. I have been looking around , but does anyone know if they have public free preschool for three year olds. I live in Bergen county (north arlington to be exact) ANY help would be appreciated. Thank you!

  1. i have no idea about free daycare/preschool as i live in va.  but what about finding another mom who works part time (or maybe 2 moms) and you all can share the responsibility of play dates.  each one takes a day of the week between certain hours and the kids play at her house.  this way it doesn't cost anyone anything and it could give the grandparents a little break also.
