Free Online High School?

Question

I live in California and I’m looking for a free online high school.... Can anyone help? If you don’t know of any free one's if you could recommend a paid one I would also appreciate it! Please only recommend a paid online high school if you or someone you know has attended it!

i know they have online diploma sites, but they arent high schools...

You might want to check out California Virtual Academy.

I don't attend but my company provides their online student newspaper, which you can checkout to get a feel for the students and the school.

I know they serve around 1,400 students in California.

Penn Foster is good. It's not free but you can make monthly payments and it's fairly cheap! We have also used K12.

Take a look at k12.com and click on where it says "find public school options in my state".  They do have a virtual academy in California and all the materials are free and there is no tuition.  As far as hours go, because they are a public school, you are still required a set amount of hours for the year.  We use OHVA (in Ohio) and we need 920 hours for the school year.  That equals out to about 25 hours per week.

I dont know any free ones...But I know a paid one (IF you live outside of Florida, you pay) and its got High School. I know that because my sister is in 10th grade, and she takes it.
