  1. I have Kapersky security--you get the first 30 or 60 days free and then you can play for 1 - 3 year plans. It also comes with 3 licenses so you can protect other PC's or Laptops around your house. They are very good.

  2. Try AVG, http://free.avg.com/ it's free and fast. Norton is a system hog!

Then I recommend that you install: Spybot-Search & Destroy http://www.spybot.com/en/download/index.... and SpywareBlaster http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareb... These two (2) applications have proven their worth in spyware protection; and best of all they're both free and signature updated regularly. SpyBot S&D will delete spyware when found; while SpywareBlaster will block malware from being installed when you are online.

These three should protect your computer from malware: virus, spyware, adware, trojans.

  3. No need to buy Norton or any other system.

I have used the following free systems for the past 2 years on 3 computers in the household. 2 computers are used by teenagers so they could be into anything. All I know is there has never been a problem. The 3 systems can be used on Widows XP or Vista.

    AVG Free

    ZoneAlarm

    Ad-Aware

  4. I've no complaints with AVG and Spybot.

  5. There is a safe site, with software reviews by both the editors and users at www.download.com

Look through the top 20 downloads (usually on the right side of the home page). There you can find 3 FREE anti-virus programs:

    AVG by Grisoft

    Avira

    Avast

Any one of these would probably work well for you!

    HTH!

  6. avg, zone alarm, spybot, adware

  7. windows defender doode

  8. If you want a free one get

    these security essentials

    Firewall

I would recomend pc tools firewall plus which did way better than norton in the matousec firewall challenge.

    http://www.pctools.com/firewall/

    malware

this covers all the viruses, spyware and rootkit

just reigster your self for free at there website
