Free Seventeen Magazine Subsciption?

Okay, so a couple of weeks ago, I signed up for this thing to give me a free issue of Seventeen Magazine. It said it was free, or so I thought? Today there was mail for me, and it was from Seventeen. Saying I have an amount of $17.97 due. What is going on? Did I miss some memo saying I needed to pay them money for the FREE issue I signed up for? I'm getting real freaked out because I have no credit card to pay it with and I don't even know if I could put actual money in the envelope and then send it back to them. Has this ever happened to anyone? I've tried canceling my subscription, but you need some number and I can't seem to find the number needed anywhere on the mail I recieved. HELP! :(

You have to read the fine print. It says that you will recieve a free issue of Seventeen IF you agree to subcribe to their magazine for two years and they will bill you later.

Also, you can't pay cash for a magazine subscription. It has to be paid by check or credit card.

Same happened to me a BOOOY I got in trouble. Just don't trust those things. I'm sorry. He cancelled it and they let him, sympathetically.
