In the CSA Under-19 clash between Free State Under-19s and KwaZulu-Natal Inland Under-19s, Free State trail by 152 and have eight wickets remaining in their first innings, at University of Orange Free State Ground, Bloemfontein.
The first day began with Free State choosing to field first in order to restrict their opposition from piling a huge total.
Their bowlers were quick to make an impression as they made inroads with just six runs on the board.

G Oldfield was not expensive as he could score only seven runs off 12 deliveries before finding his way off the field. On the next deliver, KW Pyne-James also fell without scoring a run, leaving his side under immense pressure.
L Maingard and D du Pavilion then tried to initiate a rebuild phase, but their efforts were cut short as they could take the score to only 159 before Maingard was caught after scoring 26 runs.
du Pavilion and L Ngidi tried to mould some resistance against the bowlers, but this partnership also ended on the departure of du Pavilion, who scored 34 runs.
Later, the team crumbled with 238 runs on the board and L Ngidi still standing on 43 off 77.
