Question:

Free To Air HD satellites?

I have cable connected to an HDTV with a Clear QAM tuner (no cablecard slot), and my local cable company (Time Warner Cable) is really bad about having unblocked digital content (more importantly HD content), so I only get NBC, CBS, FOX, and ABC, ocasionally, TWC will unblock a bait channel for a while, but then take it off (as a STB preview, to get you into getting the box)

I am not willing on paying the STB rental fee ($6.95/mo.), so I was looking for a way to either get prepaid satellite, or FTA satellite, I looked at the prepaid "DishNOW" service from Dish Network, and it happens they don't support HD, so then I decided to get my feet wet with FTA, but even though there plenty of HD FTA STBs, I am left in the dark if there are any free HD satellites

So my question is, do these FTA HD boxes upscale the SD signal and display it, or does it display true HD channels off of satellites offering free HD? If there are satellites offering free HD, what are the satellite names? (EG. AMC 15 or G-Star 1)
