Free Upgrades at Dreams Resorts?

I am staying at Dreams Resort and was wondering if anyone has been able to get upgraded rooms for free? If so, what is the best recommended way of doing this and approaching the staff?

The one above is a very good option. Another one will be to accept to atend to a timeshare presentation when it's offered to you upon arrival, they can give you not only an upgrade, but also tours and extra benefits, always ask for more than what they offer to participate, you don't have to buy anything, just go and listen for 90 minutes, tell them that you don't have any money to purchase, request your benefits and go out.

We stayed at Dreams last May and were upgraded to the Tower rooms. The best way to get upgraded is to sign up for a free membership at http://www.iprefer.com

Dreams Resort is part of the preferred group of hotels. The benefits are free Internet access, room upgrades IF available and other benefits. Present your membership card when you check in.

If you are traveling soon, bring your membership number with you and if you don't get any where with the front desk clerk because you don't have the card ALWAYS talk to the concierge. If he helps you out remember to tip him.

My aunt is a travel agent, so she books my trips for me.  She always says something like, it's my birthday, anniversary, etc. and asks for an upgrade.  So far, I have always gotten a really nice room, ocean view, without paying extra.  I have also gotten lots of extras, like fruit baskets and bottles of tequila.
