The former Marseille striker has completed a move to Les Verts after penning a two-year deal with the Ligue 1 outfit
Saint-Etienne have added the 32-year-old to their ranks, after he was released by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127 at the end of the 2011/2012 season.
The Brazilian has become Christophe Galtier’s fourth signing of the summer and his arrival has been welcomed by club CEO, Roland Romeyer.
While talking to reporters, the CEO of the club expressed his delight at the capture of Brandao and tipped the Brazilian to shine at Stade Geoffroy-Guichard, this season.

Brandao always gives his hundred percent for the team and CEO believes that the striker will prove to be an asset for ASSE in the
2012/2013 Ligue 1 campaign.

Brandao has plenty of experience under his belt and he is the kind of player Saint-Etienne needed. Club CEO, Roland Romeyer, added that the former Shakhtar Donetsk player has enjoyed a great career and he has scored important goals wherever he has played.
Referring to his man of the match performance for Marseille against Lyon last season, in the League Cup final, Romeyer said that Brandao has been a great professional throughout his career and his addition will help Les Verts achieve their targets this season.
“Throughout his career he has scored important goals. I remember his goal against Lyon last season in the final of the League Cup and it was his efforts that helped Marseille to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League.”
The CEO added that the addition of a striker like Brandao will give them much needed firepower in front of goal this season, which was missing from the team last time around.
“He is a great addition to the team, his record speaks for itself."
The 32-year-old made 31 appearances for Marseille last season scoring 4 goals in the process and his experience will be vital for Les Verts in their quest for European football.
