Free antivirus software?

I want some free antivirus software for my pc.

IMPORTANT- please don't mention trail versions. Any free antivirus software other than:

1)comodo

2)vipre

3)avast

4)spyware doctor.

Hi, there is AVG but I am using Avast on my Vista laptop and its great though if u use Vista its own security is awesome too :)

try PC tools anti virus, i have put it on many computers because i am constantly fixing peoples computers when they put the spy ware called "antivirus 2008." this one always works!  here is the link!

If you're looking for the best FREE antivirus, then there are only 2 to consider.

1. Avira - fastest and lightest active guard. don't eat much of your system resources.

2. Avast - an antivirus with built-in ANTISPYWARE. you wont normally get this on free antiviruses.

avg 8 is free but i havge had a few problems with it since they updated from 7. Avast is a good free option too and isnt a trial.

i would recommend you get a free firewall too.
