There are no REAL background checks for free.  There are tons of online sites offering background checks.  Many rely on outdated sources of information that is inaccurate.  A true background check needs to be done by a real individual, such as a private investigator.  Depending on the type of background check needed, they can be relatively inexpensive.  s*x offender registries are typically free and you can even access some public records online for free.  I would need you to be more specific in regards to the type of information you are looking for on the background check. What type of information are you looking for in the background check and from what are of the world are you interested in having a background check conducted.  Do you need a statewide check or a nationwide check?  Do you need a civil or criminal records check.  Again, some information can be obtained for free and other information is relatively inexpensive, but it depends on what specific information that you need.  Don't be fooled by some of this quick and cheap sites---Some of the information you can obtain for yourself for free and other information can be obtained by a licensed private investigator without spending much money.
