Free cellphone ringtones?

Question

where can i find free cellphone ringtones?

and no websites that arent actually free and make you subscribe to them monthly.

for those that know: whats the difference between the ringtones? like smart ringtone, and something like monophonic?

monophonic is a "mono" ringtones, which means that it only plays one tone. It was one of the first ringtones ever made. Then came the polyphonic ones, and then the real music or true tones, which are the ones with lyrics. I'm guessing smart ringtone is the same as true tone or mp3 ringtones. You can actually make free cellphone ringtones (the real music tones) for free from Ventones

you can easily get free ringtones if you make your own, either from online creator tool or by using your existing mp3 songs on your PC. just use ringtone maker to rip the part of it which you want to become as your ringer then transfer it to your phone.  actually, there are already 4 types of ringtone, the first one was monophonic, then polyphonic, realtones (mp3), and videotones the latest with animation.  but it also depends on your phone what type does it supports.

myxer.com..... you do have to sign up but it takes about 5 seconds, it's extremely easy and definitely free.... I was skeptical at first, but that's what I use for  my ringtones. You can even upload your own songs and customize which part you want to use as your ringtone. The clip you send to your phone can be up to a minute long. You can also get wallpapers there. It sends it to your phone in a text message and you just follow the link. Very simple. Hope that helped. And enjoy the site.
