  1. Planned Parenthood is a very good clinic and they will put you on temp medi cade for the abortion. Check with the laws for Nevada because you might need your parents consent to get an abortion. If you do need a perents consent....off to Arizona you go!!!!

  2. well, i have some rather bad news for you... many politicians are making it harder for females under 18 to have an abortion.  several states have mandated that a female minor must either notify or receive consent from their parents before an abortion.  you're lucky though - nevada is a "notify" state.  copy this link into your browser so you can read through the full list:

    http://www.plannedparenthood.org/issues-...

also, even if you do get consent, you will probably have to pay for something.  between you and the father of the child you should try to pull money together (think low-cost, not free clinics) but I'm not 100% about that, since you're still considered a minor.

another option is to take a "trip" to one of the states that doesn't require parental consent (there are seven.)

i really hope things work out for you... i know its a really difficult situation but its not impossible.

  3. There is no such thing as a free abortion.  Taxpayer money cannot go toward abortion, under the Hyde Amendment.  And, as has been mentioned, your parents are going to find out.  Just like they have to consent to treatment by your regular doctor and school nurse, abortion needs consent too.

There are, however, free clinics that will give you prenatal care and social services.  The counselors there can help you tell your parents and get you into temporary housing if your parents kick you out.  (Most parents come around, though.)  Or, you could explore adoption- it's customary for adoptive parents to cover all medical costs related to the pregnancy.

So my advice is to talk all these options out with a counselor.  1-800-395-HELP is good.  I wish you the best!
