If the hotel offers free breakfast, is it polite to take the food back to your room, or should I eat it in the breakfast area?

  1. It really doesn't matter. I've done both. The hotel doesn't care one way or the other. Sometimes just one member of the family comes down and gets food for everyone. I've also seen people come down to the breakfast room in their pajamas.  So really, do whatever works for you. No one cares.

As long as you aren't feeding people off the street, the hotel doesn't care. They have it their for their guests to eat. It doesn't matter if you eat in in the privacy of your own room or in their dining room.

  2. Eat it there.

  3. It's your choice, and it's not really free, it's been added into the cost of your room total.

It's an advertising idea to get you to rent a room and think that you're getting something extra.

  4. At the Breakfast area, but I'm sure they will make excepyions !

  5. If the hotel doesn't have any rules, regarding eating in the breakfast area vs. your room, it's your choice.

Sometimes I like eating in the breakfast area and talking to the other guest.

Sometimes I need to be in my room, on the computer.

  6. I usually take the food back to my room to eat it, I've never had any troubles with it.

  7. there is no problem taking it back to your room....my wife is not an early morning person and does not like to get up and go eat....I'll go down and bring food back to the room for her.....I on the other hand, would rather each down in the breakfast room and watch the news on TV.
