  1. Do not get from Yahoo - a lot of people do not like their service and pricing, and have switched to elsewhere. I'd recommend you look at getting a free website from Microsoft Office Live Small Business - http://starturl.com/officelive . It has a free design tool that allows you to create web pages without coding. It has 500mb of web space and no ads. MS is giving a free domain name for the 1st year. This is not just for business websites, works great for other kinds of sites.

  2. webspawner.com

    It's free

  3. Your ISP may provide free Web space to its customers, but then you would not be able to choose the particular domain name you want. You'd have to be something like YOURNAME.VERIZON.NET (if Verizon is your ISP). If you want to choose the name YOURNAME.COM or YOURNAME.NET or something like that, you'll have to pay for it.

  4. NO YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR WEBSITES, $10 SEEMS  A BIT CHEAP SO GO FOR IT

  5. The price for your own dot.com is about $2 to $4 for a year.

Hosting runs about $5 or less a month.

I buy all my domains from GoDaddy but you can choose who you like. $10 a month is steep. As far as free they are usually branded with ads or logos of the offering company.

Why not just spend half of what you were going to spend and own your own domain and website with you in complete control?

If you want to try free then view www.freewebs.com

    Good Luck

    Scott

  6. Sorry, can't really get any for free

All those that claim to be free are not worth it.

  7. Yes! Freewebs.com! I have a website on there I like it.
