Free donated car seats?

Does anyone know where we can get a free car seat in San Jose, CA? We need 2 for 2 children (2yrs and 3 yrs) that just arrived from Texas. Thanks

I can't tell you specifically, but here's some places to call around to that almost always can help:

the WIC office

SRS office

police station

state troopers association

local safekids organization

children's hospital

All usually have programs in place or will be able to direct you to a program that gives inexpensive car seats to families that need them. At that age, both those children need to be in 5 point harnesses for several year still.
