  1. You can read about a lot of differnt free shows in Vegas at Best of Vegas http://www.bestofvegas.com/articles/Free...

    Have fun!

  2. hmm i dont think llas vegas is a kid ffriendly place try something like sea world .

  3. Please leave your kids at home.  There are a few things, like the Bellagio fountains or Fremont Street.  The Sirens of TI are not for the younger age group.  I believe your child has to be a pretty mature 10 year old to appreciate it.  Your kids will become bored quickly.

  4. There are very few free activities on The Strip. Links are at www.lasvegasnow.com

    Lion habitat MGM Grand

    Volcano Mirage

    Pirate show Treasure Island

Two come-alive statute shows at Forum Shops Caesars Palace

Free entertainment at Canal Shops Venetian

There are parks in Vegas away from the tourist areas.  But like any city, most activities have fees.  But you can enjoy the Las Vegas Preserve (Arville and US 95) for free except the indoor exhibits.   On weekdays many times the $5 fee to enjoy the 14 mile loop drive through the natural beauty of Red Rock Canyon is not charged, but worth the price.

  5. 1. Pirate show( Treasure Island)

    2. Dancing Water show( Bellagio)

    3. Volcano( Mirage)

    4. Circus acts( Circus Circus)

    5. Fire and Water show( Forum Shops mall, Caesars Palace)

  6. go to the park...

i live in vegas too if you are into bbq's and blues musci then head down to the aliante discovery park during dusk on sunday

or take the kids to see sandlot for free at 9:30 a.m today. and next week to see the sword in the stone

  7. There are lots of free things for families to do in Las Vegas. Here is a list. http://www.lasvegas-how-to.com/free-attr...

  8. When you go to Las Vegas these usual things you will want to see for FREE:

    1. Number one on my list is to watch the fountains displays in front of the Bellagio hotel. It usually runs every 15 minutes in summers starting at 3:00 PM; runs continuously until about midnight. Each show is different (there are more than 20 different tunes choreographed) so stay and watch at least 2 or 3. ALSO, go inside the Bellagio hotel to its lobby and view the beautiful glass sculptured ceiling AND the seasonal floral arrangements in the Atrium. ( http://www.bellagio.com/amenities/founta... )

    2. The “Sirens of TI” show (spectacular) in from of the Treasure Island Hotel; it runs every 90 minutes starting at about 4:30 PM. Simply stand on the sidewalk in front of the TI Hotel. http://www.treasureisland.com/pages/ent_...

    3. The volcano erupt in from of the Mirage Hotel; starting at dark until midnight. Again, just stand on the sidewalk in front of the hotel.

    4. Go down to Fremont Street and see the light shows. There are usually 3 or 4 different shows, starting after dark (about 8:30PM) and lasting about 5 or 10 minutes each.

    5. Go to the RIO hotel to see the Masquerade in the Sky show. It is like Mardi Gras parade, only suspended from the ceiling over the gambling floor. It runs every 60 minutes starting about 3:00 PM; the last show starts at 9:30 PM..

    6. Go in Caesars Palace and walk through the Forum shops to the first fountain (its spectacular) then take the first fork to the left to go see the aquarium. Then continue on through the shops to the second fountain and wait for the show to start.

If you are a Star Trek Fan, go to the Hilton (off the strip) for "Star Trek The Experience"; it cost about $35.

f you have access to a car:

RED ROCK CANYON: Its about 20 miles west of Las Vegas out Charleston Blvd (you can pick up that street at the north end of the Strip) It’s a scenic drive-through park. Go early, not in the heat of the day; there's no shade.

HOOVER DAM: Drive about 30 miles southeast of Vegas and go to Hoover Dam; the National Park Service offers tours there (@ $12.) and its interesting stuff. Go on past Hoover dam to Boulder City and then to Lake Meade for a swim and/or to visit the new casino there. Also, there are tour companies that will take you on a cruise of the river below Hoover Dam. Check the Vegas web sites.

VALLEY OF FIRE STATE PARK: Drive about 35 miles north of Vegas on I-15 and go to Valley of Fire State Park, another scenic park area.

ZION NATION PARK: It’s a long drive (about 2-3 hours), but you can drive North on I-15 to Zion National Park and back in one day.

  9. when i went to las veags it was a blast. no gambling or drinking!

we just were walking the strip and there is tons of vendors offering free stuff.. IF you go and sign up for a time share. well we signed up, took two hours of our time, got the free things, and canceled the time share!

we got a magic show (very cool), impersonations, comedian (all age appropriate), and a vantriloquist!

    free and fun =]

  10. There are plenty of free family activities in town, sometimes we just have to look beyond the unfamily oriented strip!

There is the water feature at Town Square Mall complete with a playground area and free music, storytelling, activites on the weekends.

Also, you have many recreation centers in town that offer "open recreation" which allow free access to gameroom equipment such as ping pong, pool, fooseball as well as a gym to play basketall and other sports. Hours vary so you may have to call around.

Cambridge Recreation Center offers free admission to their water park located at Cambridge and Flamingo near Maryland Parkway. Their pool starts at 0 feet and goes up to 7 or 9 feet.

The Mandalay Bay offers free movies for the family on their beach Thursday nights. Call to check out the titles.

The District in Henderson offers free movies as well to the public in their park on a huge screen with free popcorn.

You have places that are a little further away such as Red Rock which offers self-guided tours, the Spring Preserve offers a free playground area (its in the front before you get to the paid areas), Mt. Charleston is a lot cooler there and there is a year round Christmas shop you can check out but be careful there's a lot of fragile items there.

There are of course nice parks here.. some offer more than others such as a free skate park (Desert Breeze and Winchester Parks), free water features(Polly Gonzales park, Winchester Park), ect...

First Fridays downtown Las Vegas offers free music, street vendors offer food and refreshments, and the stores are open later for guests.

Also check the local paper for activities for the family....

  11. We went on a family vacation to Vegas in March with a 2 year old, a 6 year old, and a 12 year old.  They had an absolute blast!  Here is a list of free attractions  http://www.vegas.com/attractions/freeatt...  Most of them are on the strip and are very fun.

Here are some attractions that do cost a little bit of money, but that might be fun to plan for your family http://www.vegas.com/attractions/kids.ht...

The activities that my kids loved were

The Adventuredome Theme Park at Circus Circus- $24.95 for adults and $14.95 for children.  Sometimes you can find 2-for-1 coupons on ebay.

The Dolphin Habitat at the Mirage- $15.95 for adults and $10.95 for children.  You are actually very close to the dolphins while they are doing their tricks.
