Try contacting the nearest TAFE to where you are.  They have courses for hairdressers, and would therefore probably have training sessions on "real" people...

There is a hairdresser's college in Brisbane in Queen St. Mall.  The haircuts are very cheap, but not free - don't know where they are free unless you know someone.  I recommend you try them out - I've been there and teachers are always going around for support.
