Free health care in salou,, nearest doctor and hospital?

Question

going to salou in june .. my grandson as just came out of hospital after 4 days with a bad chest infection and tonsilites he is three,, cant get insurance for these conditions when we go to spain with any insurance comp. after i dissclosed he as been in hospital,,any free state doctors in salou..hospital etc just in case.they will cover everything else but not wat he was ill with ridiculus yes it is any help addvice appp thanks

The E111 has long gone and is now replaced with the EHIC card, available free online from the government.

You can't get free health care outside the UK (maybe Canada). The European Health card will give you some things free, but you still have to pay for medicines etc.

No insurer is going to cover you for an existing condition.

You are very naive.

There is no 'free' medical help in Spain. I live here. You can have the e111 or equivalent but this only covers for emergencies. If he was so ill don't bring him. I don't think the hospital would turn him away at all, that doesn't happen ,but if you are not covered you will get charged. We pay social insurance and this covers our medical here. Only if you are a pensioner it is free. Don't know about small children.  Not all countries are like UK that give out free medical to anybody.

local hospital or centro salud. but before you go get an E1 11 form from the post office they are free send it off then you have a medical card valid for 3 yrs. it is the european medical insurance card
