Free latin jazz or afro-pop spots in nyc for this saturday????

Hi Everyone,

Can anybody recommend any good cafe or spot In NYC for free Latin Jazz Music or Afro-Pop? A cafe with entry fee will also be welcomed.

Free on a Saturday in NYC?  Not likely.

The best place is Zinc Bar...The cover varies depending on the act but it's usually not a lot of money and it's a great crowd and casual atmosphere. They have African on Fridays and Brazilian Jazz on Saturday.

There's always SOB's but they charge a $20.00 cover on Saturdays. They do serve food though.

There's also Cachaca...I haven't been there so I can't speak for it.

Another place I've heard of but haven't been is Brazil Brazil.  A restaurant.  They have live music in the late afternoon on Saturdays
