  1. It probably isn't real.. if it is..theres probably a catch. Look into it more before you take it any further.

  2. Why would you want a pet monkey? Would it really be that amusing to sit and watch a miserable animal depressed and bored because it is not in its natural habitat, basically a prisoner in your home?

What I would suggest is that you go and do some voluntary work abroad with monkeys where you can work with then and help them as a species. There is an animal park I worked at in Bolivia that always needs volunteers (google inti wara yassi) belive me you will have more than your fair share of monkey mayhem.

    All the best!

  3. DONT friend got one from there and it was a scam and then ordered another and 2 days later it went to the big banana in the sky

  4. hmmm i don't trust this...these monkies may have been illegally captured and brought into the country...i'd look further into it and do some research first..

then again....monkeys are supposed to be wild, not a little toy pet...they'll just be miserable and upset

  5. If you're in the UK first it's illegal - they are covered by all sorts of legislation so don't even think about it.

Second, they are not suitable as pets. They are wild animals not domesticated ones. Monkeys in the wild live in social groups and cannot abide living on their own. They get miserable and depressed and often aggressive. They need about the same level of attention and care as a small child i.e. 24/7.

Third, monkeys in captivity from illegal sources start from young being captured in the wild, usually involving killing the mother - so it's  an illegal trade full of cruelty.

Finally look at the ad - for one thing it says the animals are KC registered and the kennel club is for dogs. Obviously a seedy bunch and someone has already reported it.

If you really love monkeys, leave them in peace and sponsor an animal in somewhere like the monkey sanctuary who care for those animals who are cruelty cases in the pet trade. At least look at their web site to check out what I said.

  6. That's just wrong.  Nobody can raise an animal and be able to give it away for free, either these are illegal animals or its just completely made up.

  7. No matter what some primate "pet" owner tells you, monkeys are indeed the most difficult animals to keep as pets.  I would strongly recommend not getting one.  There is a reason people want to get rid of these monkeys for nothing.

  8. I would love to have a pet monkey. I would train it to fetch me beer from the fridge!!

  9. Contact your local ASPCA or humane society and find out if it's even legal for them to be in the U.S. They should be able to help you.

By the way, I find it highly unethical to bring animals that belong in the wild, into a home. That isn't where nature intended them to be. It's just selfishness on our part.
