Free night and weekends, but?

ok so i have verizon, and i know i get free night and weekend minutes, but is that nationwide? If I'm in cali could i call someone in Texas at like 10pm and would it still be free if they didn't have verizon and not live in the same state??

Did your plan say that nationwide calling is free?

If your friend from Texas is not on Verizon like you, then I'd have to guess that it would cost you.
