Question:

Free parking?

Hi,

Is it possible to park on a mall parking area and use it as a parking lot for your car? Or is there a time limit that you have to move your vehicle?

Our apartment charges $200 for the parking lot and I need a place to park it for free, after work.

Thanks.

  1. More than likely that mall parking lot is private property and you are subject to being towed if the owner/manager of that mall pays attention to people who park there but don't shop in the mall.  Also, other reasons why the owner will be on the look out for non-authorized parked cars is to keep crime down, crooks look for cars that can be easily broke into (that includes cars that have been parked in one spot for a while).

Key thing is-  Look out for posted signs warning you of parking only for shoppers, and security folks who roam the parking lot.  I would not park in a lot that has posted signs warning about illegally parked cars since that means they've had non-authorized parking issues in the past and will more than likely be proactive in towing cars.

  2. try it and if you get a ticket go to the shop (transmition broke) and ask them for an estmat for a new trans then take that to court with you and try to talk your way out of the ticket...

then you will have the answer you need.......

  3. sometimes yes where you from?
