  1. If you are age 17 or less, the museums and monuments are free.  If you're 18 to 25, they have reduced rates.  For instance, the Arc de Triomphe has a regular admission of 8 euros, but it's 5 euros if you're 18 to 25.  The web site for the national monuments is http://www.monuments-nationaux.fr/en/.

Bon voyage et bonne chance !

  2. Not trying to be funny or sarcastic, but the only free things to do in Paris are to walk around (look at sights) and breathe.   Everything else will cost money - or something.

The best transportation deal is the Metro, and it is interesting all by itself.

  3. If you don't want to go into place you will be ok.

Paris is quite easy to get around on foot...you can walk around the Eiffel tower, arc de triumphe etc and not have to go into/onto them.

You can walk along the river rather than go on the boats, some things are free, I'm pretty sure its free to go to Notre Dame (but to climb up it or the treasury costs a little)......

There is the cemetary (Pere Lachaise) which is free, you can get maps for a couple of euro to find anyone famous eg Jim morrison, oscar wilde, but the actually  the general monuments for other people are amazing anyway.

The buildings/statues in Paris are just as lovely on the outside as the inside. There are lots of free churches and parks are also free....the main one in Paris near Napaloeon square/the louvre etc is a good one to look around.
