  1. There are no free sites for BMDs after about 1915

    http://www.freebmd.org.uk/

I Use  http://thegenealogist.co.uk  For BMDs. 1837 - 2005 and all of the census returns etc. You can buy credits for small searches, or pay a very reasonable annual fee for unlimited use of all of their resources. It can work out cheaper sometimes to go with the full membership, the credits/vouchers disappear very quickly, on all sites.

  2. I find the best for these types of index are

    http://www.findmypast.com/welcome.jsp

    http://www.familyrelatives.com/

Neither are free, but I have a subscription to both, if you would like a look up.

  3. Try using  google news, you might find it here, there is no one site for obituary's in the UK.

    Good luck and good hunting

  4. You can now buy "vouchers" to search on what for me is the best UK site, www.ancestry.co.uk it is amazing and has now got records up to 31st December 2005, it's really easy to use as well. If you would like me to find the death  registration details for you, you can post their names as they are deceased.  You can also email me  through my profile if you prefer that.
