Free spirited, selfish or rude what do you think?

Right does anyone else get annoyed by people who think in this way. I have a few friends who think is perfectly fine to ignore texts and answerphone message even if there perfectly normal questions for example could you do me this small favour or do you fancy meeting up, you say could you get back to me and they know you'll be waiting for some sort of response particularly in former case. Instead of texting back and saying there busy they just don't bother and when you approach them about it its as though sometimes your made to feel in the wrong for disturbing them as though your supposed to realise.

By this I mean sporadically when need be, not all the time. I don't pester people I ussually text or call and then leave it in less its important then I might follow it up. These type of people who do this are ussually the ones who get really annoyed if you don't reply to just one call or text from them and question you as to why! Double standards! I feel sometimes its as though their trying to control your behaviour to suit their needs, mind you they could argue vice versa I guess!

  1. I think it really depends on each individual as to whether their lack of replying should be classed as free-spirited, selfish or rude. I have friends that fall into all of the categories above as well as penny pincher's.

I can't always answer immediately especially when at work but also when driving.

  2. getting ignored?? - take the hint!!

  3. Maybe they are actually busy, or they don't have credit.

  4. Some people place a higher value on friendship than others.

Some people just don`t care if they ignore your calls  - maybe they don`t value your friendship as much as you do.

  5. I have always thought it rude to say nothing if directly asked or spoken to. If nothing else, it is better to smile and say no than to ignore another person. No one likes to be ignored.

  6. I admit to being one of those people. I think if you want to spend time with someone, asking them by SMS is incredibly rude. Why should I spend my time with you if I'm not even important enough for a phone call. I also find sending text messages quite boring and irritating. As for not answering voice messages, if you want to get in contact with me that bad you will call again, or come see me. So I guess yeah, it's selfish.

  7. uhg. it buggs me soo much when people dont get the hint that im not associating with them anymore. *growls*

i would give these people a break, you know, cool off. cause it seriously sounds like theyre annoyed for one reason or another.

im sorry i could be COMPLETELY wrong im just sayin :]

  8. They probably don't want to talk to you at the moment

  9. I think you've answered your own question.

  10. I' guilty of the same behaviour, and of being angry when I am ignored in  return, so I guess that makes us both hypocrites.  But then again, aren't we all at times?

  11. ........................................... u see i'm not saying anything!!

  12. It's not a question of etiquette, you need to evaluate your friendships.

  13. im an introvert and i dont returning calls
