What's wrong with all these people protesting the olympics?

If they care so much about tibet, why not move there and do their stuff.

Imho, these people want the tibetans to be slaves because that's how it was before China took over.

One more thing, why the h**l are they supporting people they don't even know, i mean here in the US, the gov't took over the indians lands and were mistreated, shouldn't they be protesting the gov't?

Or hawaii that was taken over by the US by force?

Honestly, they don't give a c**p about that country, they are just paid or just wanna put china down.

  1. Do more research...He who speaks much knows little.

  2. You say "in the US, the gov't took over the indians lands and were mistreated, shouldn't they be protesting the gov't?"

Yes, its true that the United States absorbed most of the tribal lands of the Native Americans. but, in the first place, that happened more than a century ago. In the second place, they have learned from their past acts and now respect the remaining tribal lands.

But most importantly, it doesn't make the slightest difference as to the issue of Tibet.

You should now better than to commit the logical error of Tu Quoque. If you don't know what that is then look it up before you further expose yourself as uneducated person (or a stooge of the Security Service).

And it is not just Westerners who are critical of the government although most people are afraid to say so.

A good example are Wu Dianyuan and Wang Xiuying, both in their late 70's. The Beijing police  sentenced these two harmless old women to an extrajudicial term of “re-education through labor” this week for applying to hold a legal protest in a designated area in Beijing, where officials promised that Chinese could hold demonstrations during the Olympic Games.

Aside from the fact that the Chinese government has been exposed as liars who have broken their promise to the international community, we are reminded that the illegitimate Communist regime is brutal, cruel, unjust, and shameless.

  3. couldnt agree more.....

ever worse, those ppl who love to scream free Tibet, have known not much about Tibet and China history.  People just focus on report that reflects negative things and look at the extremist on the TV for the whole picture.  They don't ever know Tiben people will become poorer and pooer and if Tiben are separated from the Chinese government.  Why don't they feel for Iraq...Afghanistan then...

  4. Well Rillifane, your answer is  brutal, cruel, unjust, and shameless.

Tibet has nothing to do with what you said in the last 2 paragraphs.

  5. gather up the protesters and you see that most of them don't care about Tibet.  Most of these "protesters" will support anything with human rights written all over it.  Someone suggests that the CIA wants a US base in Tibet in order to spy on Russia and China.

  6. Dear, we are under topic Travel so let stop talking about politic and share traveling experience here.

Tibet is very beautiful, like a heaven, you may feel you are so close to the sky. The potala palace is also incredible. But anyway, people should make a peaceful society in Tibet to let more and more tourists know a true Tiebt.

  7. Exactly. i agree with what you said here.

They just want to make trouble, and 'hope' the china authority would take the 'wrong' action, and then they can broadcast the 'story'.  This is what i observed.

I am not chinese, i don't side anyone, but i really not support those what making trouble just for a sake of being on the news.

  8. Tibet had been part of China earilr than White took over America.

  9. first thing Olympics is a time where all political turmoil stops so that we can watch the games as civilised people.

Second thing I've met many Tibetans and Chinese and Firmly believe that Tibet should be its own independent country.

Third thing just because injustices happen in one country it doesn't mean that you can relate and justify it towards another injustice.

We should do what we can to prevent these injustices in the modern tense and never forget the past.

Lets leave Tibet alone until the Olympics is over with... That's how my ancestors did it.

  10. buddhists are fashionable all tibetan and mysterious and americans are afraid and suspicious of china, that's no doubt and i lived there and consider myself a tolerant person but the attitude toward China is clear if that image is true or deserving i do not know.

Interestingly they seem to like chinese people and want to "save" them but don't like thier culture and how they live thier lives.
