i filled out a ballot at the molson indy in toronto and got a phone call back saying that i won. it was for a total of nine days and nights to stay in fort lauderdale, orlando and a cruise in the bahamas.. al that had to be paid was a reservation fee.. and the other taxes and personal expenses upon travelling.

I gave the C.C number and got confirmation #'s. i called back the main line and they are unable to connect me to the original salesperson, i already confirmed with the auditor.

now im waiting for a package and a fax with the details....

  1. This is a scam--Get the CC to cancel if possible FAST.  The ship is a total barge--I've seen it in Nassau if you even get that.  This is a ruthless outfit from the States.  Don't buy from Americans.  They come up here and try to cheat us all the time.

  2. If you find out it is a scam tell your credit company & dispute the charges.

  3. no, but I had a friend won a "free" cruise and payed more in fees and taxes than I did just buying the same length of cruise on a better ship.

if it sounds to good to be true it is

  4. Forget calling the company that is "giving" you the cruise, call the hotels and cruise lines that are involved. Either they will honor the certificates or they won't. While there are scams out there most of these are reasonably legit and are tied to time shares. So be prepared to be pestered into buying a condo. I "won" a similar vacation for 7 days in Orlando. It was an extremely nice condo set up and well worth the money had to spend to get it, but I did have to set aside one day to tour the facility and be pressured into a purchase. This may not be what is happening here but you can easily determine the facts by contacting the third parties involved. Having already given them the money you have little to lose and the faster you can alert the credit card company of a scam them better.
