Free virus protection??

Question

my computer has kinda a lot of viruses...and IM NOT TAKING MY COMPUTER IN! so i have decided to download the free virus protection...is that good i dea or wil it ruin my computer..and i might download AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition 8.0...but i tred it once and this message comes up at the end of my download & says download failed...i dont know why it says that but it says click here for more detales...so i click and i dont understand!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >=[ what do i do! AND FAST!

Or if you have comcast you can get McAfee for free.

well using free versions ok, but every free thing on internet has a price, which could not be seen by others, why not try 30 days trial versions all year long, you need just 12 respectable antivirus firm, everymonth download one, or search through 3-6 month promotions, that's free,

These days you need much more than just an antivirus protection.

For antivirus:

download the free home edition.It has protection from viruses,spyware,trojans,trojan horses,droppers,malware,rootkits

Antispyware:

First of all I have spywareterminator.This is a great antispyware.It also has antivirus but don't install that because it will conflict with avast or antivir and it uses Clamwin which is not sucha good antivirus.Only install protection against spyware.

Then I use spybot search and destroy.I only use it to scan.Don't install the security center.

Then i have superantispyware.There is a free and a pro version of superantispyware.I use the free one.The difference between both is that the free version doesnt have a realtime shield.

Then I have spywareblaster.This doesn't scan for spyware but it immunizes your browser.

Oh by the way....

Avast is a good antivirus but on the ther hand AVG does absolutely nothing.Completly useless,I doubt it ever finds one bloody virus.It once picked up a trojan horse on my pc....and guess what...It wasn't actually a trojan horse.

Every single AVG product sucks sorry.

Well, Use Avast, & if avast doesnt work, download the trial of kaspersky, just the 30 day trial, then delete it wen done.

I also have AVG free and I am constanly having problems with it , it did the same thing to me and took me 4 times downloading it finally it worked NOW everyday I come on computer is says update is done needs to restart , after restart it still says not protected  I am sick of it and I guess this is what you get for free !
