Freecycle address?

hi, i put wisconsin rapids freecycle in my address book from the my groups page, and when i tried to send a message to the group, it came back to me address doesn't exist. can you tell me what i'm doing wrong. thanks

go to your groups home page and post messges to them from there.  that is how i use my local group.  also if you are on moderation, it won't immediately post.  see if you can get a hold of the group owner.  there should be an e amail address on the lower part of the group's home page.  find out if you have the address incorrect or if you are on moderation.  if you are on moderation it means the moderator has to approve what you post before it goes out to your freecycle community.

I'm assuming you are in Wisconsin.  If you addressed it to wisconsinrapids then you have the wrong address.

and click 'post' on the left side bar.

And like someone else mentioned, most freecycles are set to moderate new member posts.  Once you've sent it, there will probably be a delay before the group gets it.

And Freecycle stopped approving groups by Counties a long time ago, look for your city/town if a county seach comes up empty.

Freecycle addresses are listed according to the county they're in. If you live in Hennepin county, it would be hennepincofreecycle. "County" is abbreviated in the address as "co"

I have participated in two different Freecycles in two different towns. I suggest you check with Yahoo Groups because that is where my Freecycle here in Florence originates. You can see mine by going to [e-mail].

Also go to http://www.freecycle.org and you can find the closest freecycle to you. It has a search engine for different places.
