I was told on an item I replied to, that she was only looking at persons with offers. Does that mean money offers?

  1. When I offer something on my Freecycle group and get multiple responses, I have to pick *someone.*

I do go back to the group to see which of the potential recipients have offered something, anything. They get first priority.

So I'd suggest you look around and find something gathering dust, and offer it on the group. It couldn't hurt, and will probably help both you and the recipient.

  2. One of the tenets of Freecycle is that it is FREE. No money is allowed to be exchanged for any items.

What she may have meant is, she was looking to share with  someone who had previously offered something on Freecycle themselves. (I cannot get the wording quite right for what I mean. Sort of a you scratched someone else's back in the past, let me offer to scratch yours now.) I think it would have been better, and more in harmony with the guidelines, if she had not put limits like that on her offer, but what can you do?

I could be completely wrong about what she meant, but still, NO money is to be exchanged on Freecycle...that is the point.
