Question:

Freecycle post?

I listed our landscapping plants in freecycle because we want to change the landscapping in our yard (previous owner planted them). They are in good shape and worth lots of money since they are healthy and mature. Is it wrong if we ask someone to come and dig them up and then fill the holes?

  1. Morally, no.  The person would be getting some expensive plants for free.  Personally I would be happy to do it if it were me.

Why don't you check with your Freecycle group monitor that it's not contravening any group rules.  Different groups have different rules about what they consider to be 'services'.  I don't think your situation would be a problem, but safest to check.

Good for you for using Freecycle!

  2. I'm an Interim Mod on Freeycle and can help you if you want.   Just email me with the name of the group and URL and I will see what I can do for you.  Everything you posted here should be fine.  I don't see what the deal would be to post more... it's flower season, everyone is looking for flowers!

I actually have had so many posts come through for flowers, offers and wanteds...
