  1. You have to join the newsgroup and then you email the advertisers. It is an email thing...

  2. Lesson learned, nothing is really free.

  3. as a moderator for 2 successful freecycle groups, i think it's a great way of keeping things out of landfill - which is it's purpose, not just to give out free stuff

you need to join your local group (which you can find by searching on www.freecycle.org) - once approved by the moderator to join them, you'll get to see all the posts by people in your community area, of both wanted items and those for offer. you can then contact them and, if succesful, arrange to collect things

  4. You have to join your local group and then wait until your membership has been approved. Once this is done you can post offer and wanted messages. When you want an item you email the giver and they choose who it goes to.

  5. I will say this. I use to own and run my own freecycle and it is not what it is said to be. You have to follow there rules and if not you get kicked out. Some people from freecycle were to help me while i was away and when i got back i was reposted for taking members e-mail and useing them to send to my groups. I was not near any computers at this time when all this happen. They  tell you to step down and hand over the group you have made for freecycle..I would not..i removed all there trade marks and shutdown the group for good. There are ppl out in freecycle you can't trust and if some ppl don't get what they want they come after you and do all kinds of damage to your cars.trucks and more. So think about this..do you really want to be part of this. I would stick to yard sales and buye and sell papers..it's safer
