Freedom Chief poised to return to winning ways - Sittingbourne Standard Heat 2
Freedom Chief is undoubtedly a class act and despite the fact that the black dog was awful last time out, he has the best chance of bagging the top prize in second heat of the Sittingbourne Standard, being held at Sittingbourne on Sunday, July 1st.
K. O'Flaherty’s charge is geared up to put his campaign back on the right track after an embarrassing defeat at Monmore last month. After registering an outstanding victory at Henlow, the black dog travelled to Monmore, where he initially did not let his supporters down.
In a 480 metres race, he grabbed the top rank by a couple of lengths despite getting crowded early on. After two thrilling victories, the dashing hound was aiming for hat-trick, but failed terribly.
He got crowded twice in early stages of the contest and as a result, finished fifth behind Graigues Orchard. Yet, he is an ideal choice for the punters, as he is well capable of winning this kind of races with ridiculous ease.
Others in the line-up are: Kingsmill Super, Droopys Leonard, Tain Flip, Salacres Cool and Mullpark Flora. The 480 metres heat is going to get started at 18:57 (GMT). A cash prize of £100 is reserved for the champion hound.
Salacres Cool was an easy A2 winner at Nottingham last month. He is going to face a completely different scenario and a lot tougher opposition this time. So, the punters should no trust him blindly.
Tain Flip has an outside chance of making to the final. The black dog ran well in a long distance race last time, but since luck was not on his side, he finished fourth behind Buglys Billie.
Mullpark Flora seems to be swimming against the tide today. The white and black b***h is in dreadful form and does not have any chance whatsoever.
Droopys Leonard, who is coming from Hove, needs to ping in order to trouble the locals. On the other hand, Kingsmill Super is unlikely to justify his good odds, as he was pathetic in his last 500 metres trip at this track.
According to our calculations, Freedom Chief is unlikely to share success with any of his opponents. We wish the best of luck to all the runners.
