Question:

Freedom Cruise Ship?

I was watching a television programme the other night, and it was about the World's Biggest Cruise Ship, called Freedom Cruise. I would love to find out when it is due to set sail for the 1st time, as i would love to book up for it.

Can anyone help me find out when it's due to be finished building?

That's the new Royal Caribbean Ship being built, if you go onto their website I'm sure you'll find out more information.

That show was a re-run because freedom has been sailing for over a year now. I went on it in Aug of 06. They do have sister shops of the freedom coming out which one is the Liberty and other Independance. Independance sets said this month and Liberty has been out since last year. The ships are from Royal Caribbean in which you can look at them by going to their website www.royalcaribbean.com You will have a blast.

I sailed on this ship February of 06. The ship was beautiful. We cruised to Jamaica,Cozumel,Grand Cay and Hispanola/Haiti. Hispanola was my favorite port.

The Royal Caribbean's Freedom of the Seas had it maiden voyage On June 4, 2006.  I sailed on it in November 2006 and its a fabulous ship.  Since that time Royal Caribbean has launched two additional identical ships.  The next ship is the Liberty of the Seas which was launched in May 17, 2007.  This year the Independence of the Seas will be launched this Saturday, May 17 with a cruise out of Southampton, England.  Then plans are for it to sail out of Ft Lauderdale Florida.

Freedom of the Seas has been sailing about 2 years now.

I believe it's maiden voyage was sometime around May 2006.
