Freelance workers what benefits are they entitled to.?

I have just been offered a job as a freelance poet working for a company online.

I am wondering if any one can help my husband works and i get tax credits will this freelance work affect my tax credits?

What tax will i pay the freelance work i wont be making a great deal of money about 200.00 per month any advice will be much appreciated thank you

  1. You will only pay tax on any earnings that exceed your personal allowance. Any income you get this year will affect next years Tax Credit award. All your earnings need to be declared to HMRC  


  2. You are in a similar porition as me...I work from home and earn about the same...I pay no tax as it is too little...but you may have to pay your own national insurance...it isn't complicated just contact the inland revenue and they have a helpline...
