Both!  For me and many people I ride with freeride includes freestyle elements.  Freeride is just that FREE: we mix it up from sliding and carved turns to manuels and butters; pop off rollers, slashing drifts, having fun where ever we can find it.  Then we also head in to the park to hit the rails, jumps, and pipe.  Do it all!
