Question:

Freeview aerial installation question?

I need a TV aerial installing on my chimney in the near future, this aerial needs to be a digital (freeview) aerial.

I was wondering if when the aerial is fitted, do they just run a coax down to a booster/ splitter in the loft? Then run a coax to each TV outlet from there?

Thankyou in advance

  1. If that is how it is set up at the moment, yes

If that is how you want it set up, yes

  2. The Jester is talking good sense.

My TV aerial is over 15 years old, fitted long before the advent of Freeview.  I can receive about 70 TV and radio channels with perfect clarity.

There is truly no such thing as a 'digital' aerial (other than in a salesman's fantasy...)..

  3. If you have got to buy an aerial anyway get a high gain one with a large reflector for best freeview reception

  4. yes that would work ,i have that b4 and it is good.

  5. Save yourself and get a Freesat dish etc installed - you can get some HD on the BBC for free as long as you have an HD box.  Cost is £200 for HD and £150 without it.

  6. there is no such thing as a digital aerial!!!

a normal one already there is the only one.

this digital aerial stuff is just a con artists way to say you need another one to give them money.

trust me, there is no such thing as a digital aerial!!!!
