I lost some channels from my freeview box. I Have deleted all and rescanned but still cannot get Five, QVC, Bid Up, Price Drop, Five US or Five Life. Do I have to buy a new box ?

  1. No, your aerial has moved or your local transmitter is having a few problems.

rescan tomorrow, if still missing channels, check aerial has not moved or been moved.

  2. No you don't need a new box

On Freeview, channels are grouped together in muxes.

It sounds as though you are not receiving just one of the muxes. This suggests your aerial is very slightly out of alignment.

Adjust aerial and you will get your channels back.

    .

  3. Move your arial around a bit and keep rebooting some times it takes several reboots.

Try doing it first thing in am when not so many appliances are being used around by people or evening late.

A good arial is one from Currys £10 and not with the arial you pull up but the oval all in one black one is best.

  4. I had those problems a while ago and they were not able to receive the channels but a few days later it came back but  could`nt get channel 11.it was an old box so I went and got myself bt vision and no problems now.

  5. When I rebooted mine, the channels came back but some were in a different place (???!!!) When I got someone to check it out for me, my ariel HAD moved and was giving me a signal from a different direction. I bought a booster ,had it fixed up and everything is fine now

  6. mine does the exact same thing!!!!!! just retune they should come back! or unplug and rescan! :O)
